There is an orange tree right outside my window. I grew up with an orange tree in my front yard (a perfect climbing tree- it was great), so I like having this tree in sight. A couple of months ago it was relatively monochrome as the fruit started to appear and its green color blended right in with the leaves.

First up, Beau and Liz! They are adorable as you will see in this post. We spend a lot of Sundays in the city together, and I'm forever snapping photos of them.

A couple of Sundays ago I grabbed tacos with Natalie after church. We then roamed around downtown for about an hour taking photos of things and each other. It was super enjoyable, and I was quite happy with some of the shots.

Yesterday I rediscovered some snapshots originally taken a few weeks ago. It was almost as good as discovering a forgotten roll of film! Anyways, these were taken on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in the Mission District. Because when you're waiting in line for ice cream, it's a great time to pull out your camera :)

How adorable are these two little lovebirds? I was SO excited (and a little apprehensive) when Keri told me that she and Jared would love for me to take their engagement photos (I've never done these before!). We spent a marvelous Saturday in SF, with them just looking cute and me following them around with a camera.

I've been working full-time now for a month plus a few days. It's no joke. The weekend comes and goes before I know it, every week. Today, I woke up two hours later than I have to on weekdays. I drank coffee. I played guitar. I ate waffles. Then I decided to head to Modesto and do fun things I haven't done in a while (and shop at Trader Joe's).

My poor little neglected blog. Hello, readers that haven’t given up on me yet! Thanks for sticking around through this unusual season :) Today I’d like to show you a bit of what I’ve been up to lately (since I obviously haven’t been blogging).

Last month I got to work at two weddings in the Bay Area with the best caterers. My main job once dinner rolled around was serving tables, but before that time, I was asked to photograph appetizers and as many other dishes as possible. I felt super honored to be asked to do that, and prayed for good lighting and good photos :) In the end, I was pleased and Gemma & Murray were pleased, plus I had a ton of fun.

Last month my Grammy and I sort of repeated a little day trip we took in April, with a few changes:

My brother came along (a welcome addition).
We lunched on fish and chips at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company (thanks for the recommendationNatasha! :)).
We had ice cream at Marianne’s in Santa Cruz (my Grammy has been going there since she was a young girl!).
We extended the drive to include Carmel.

This past Sunday morning we headed to the city for church. We were even able to pick up my friend Micah in Berkeley and take her along! Everything was going along so well until we got stuck in traffic on the Bay Bridge due to a big accident. Multiple cars had crashed right at the end of the tunnel, and it took us a little more than one hour to get to that spot.

In the meantime, we chatted, sang songs, and read bumper stickers to pass the time. I was also able to get a photo of the bridge from a different perspective :)

Oh, Berkeley. I’ve really come to love this place. Up until a few weeks ago, the extent of my encounters with the town amounted to a quick run by the original Peet’s Coffee on the drive home from the City.
